PROBLEM
Gymnastics is an extremely technical sport—As a gymnast it’s hard to determine your body position, and as a coach it’s even harder to explain what went wrong and how to fix it.
SOLUTION
Leotech is a gymnastics leotard made with Project Jacquard smart textiles. This technology is able to detect its own shape to determine what position the body is in during a gymnastics skill. Wrist + ankle bands with accelerometers and gyroscopes also help determine position and rotation.
APP
The Leotech leotard pairs with an app for iPhones and iPads. Information from the leotard is sent to the app where the gymnast is able to learn how she can improve each skill.
